Love Note: Cut Your Cleaning Time In HALF

Love Note: Cut Your Cleaning Time In HALF

Good Day Macarons!

As this month our Masterclass focuses on Simplicity, I wanted to share a hot tip with you on organizing and de-cluttering that has changed my LIFE.

When cleaning, the common way to move around a room is in sections.

Tackle one pile of clutter by taking each item from the pile to it's proper place, then move onto the next.

This takes up copious amounts of time because of moving one item at a time. So if this is your current methodology, get ready to cut your cleaning time in HALF!

Instead of cleaning section by section, clean item by item.

Let's use your living room as an example:

1. Go into the room with a trash bag and pick up all the trash first.

2. If there are items that need to be returned to certain rooms, make piles for each room.  A book needs to be returned to the bedroom, and a lipstick  to the bathroom? Rather than putting them back one at a time, start piles for each room and then return all items to their respective places in one sweep.

3. Finally, go in with your cleaning supplies now that the clutter is clear, and have a ball dusting and dancing!

You can apply this methodology to anything you're de-cluttering - purse, junk drawer, desk, etc.

I hope this helps you move through your month with more ease.

Spit-spot,

Kitty
